WHAT IS IT? The Active Metabolic Assessment is a simple graded exercise test used to establish cardiovascular fitness, the amount of calories - fat and carbohydrates - burned during activity, and the optimal training zone intensities required to build endurance, burn fat and boost performance.

WHO IS IT FOR? This assessment is ideal for anyone looking to establish their current level of cardiovascular fitness, discover how their body metabolises fat and carbohydrates during activity, and reveal the optimal training zone intensities required to burn fat and improve specific areas of aerobic fitness.

HOW DOES IT WORK? The Active Metabolic Assessment commences at a moderate intensity and the speed - on a treadmill - or resistance - on a stationary bicycle - is increased at one minute intervals until you reach maximum effort and are no longer able to continue. During the test our state of the art, medical grade laboratory equipment, measures your physiological response to activity and reveals the exact points at which your Aerobic Threshold, Anaerobic Threshold, FatMax, VO2 Max and Max Heart Rate are detected.

HOW DOES IT WORK? The assessment is performed in a relaxed, seated position. During the test our state of the art, medical grade laboratory equipment, measures your metabolism, revealing the precise amount of calories you require to function while at rest.
